A LITTLE Hulton cricketer has been impressing with both club and county this season.

Jack Stanley has had a fantastic season in all aspects on his cricket this year that being league cricket where he has played under-10s, u12s and u14s as well as skippering Lancashire u10s.

Proud mum Stephanie Stanley said: "He has had a great year in all of his cricket.

"He started the season by opening with Ellis Pearson for Little Hulton. Then he played for Salford District and also captained u11 and is now beginning his u10 season as captain for the second year running.

"He has also been successful to secure his second season at Lancashire u10s where he was also asked to be captain this year."

Stanley has led by example with the Red Rose side and continues to develop his reputation as a talented cricketer.

Stanley added: "We had an excellent season at u10s Lancs.

"They won four out of our six fixtures including in a five-wicket win against Yorkshire.

"The good thing about the win was that in four years of trying they have never achieved it."

Stanley has featured previously in the Your Sport supplement as a talented batsman performing a final against Winton in 2014.

In an action-packed Rose battle where there were two stoppages for rain and the Air Ambulance suddenly appearing in the outfield.

But an outstanding partnership of 97 in 16 overs by Stanley (48) and Alec Old (52) laid the foundations for the win.

Earlier in the season, Stanley was the shining light with a top-score of 27 in the 33-run defeat to Warwickshire and then in the season opening eight-wicket win against Leicestershire, he led by example with 21-runs.
