MOHAMMED Adnan's nine-wicket haul for Little Lever helped record a routine victory away to basement side Tonge.

Zain Abbas hit his fifth century of the season as the visitors opened the scoring. Skipper Jon Kerrigan added 35 not out as Little Lever posted 215-4.

All of the wickets fell to the bowling of Mansoor Ahmed (4-94).

But in the second innings Adnan came to the forefront bowling nine wickets for only 34 runs inside 13 overs – including three maidens..

The Tonge batting line up stood no chance and they were dismissed for 73 – Abdullah Naushahi was the top-scorer with the bat hitting 18.

Horwich rose to 11th with their second win in three games as they look to finish the season in positive fashion.

Astley Bridge were the victims of the Ramsbottom Road side's upturn in form.

Phil Cavill (54) and Rakeeb Mahmood (30) scored high for Horwich as they posted 163-7 as the overs expired.

Syd De Silva impressed with the ball posting figures of 4-24, before turning his hand to the bat where he top-scored with 39.

However, the hosts were all out for 148 thanks to the brilliant bowling of Babar Naeem (5-42) and Mahmood (3-51)

Bradshaw continued their recent impressive form with a comfortable home win against Heaton.

With only one defeat in their last eight matches, The Rigbys outfit opted to field first but they struggled to contain Haroon Farhat who raced to his half-century off 32 balls.

However, the professional finally fell for 61 and although Zeeshan Mirza added 32 the visitors were bowled out for 135.

Steve Foster (3-41), Tom Liversedge (2-10), Phil Dickinson (2-25) and Kamran Younis (2-55) formed the bowling attack that dealt the damage.

Liversedge then turned his hand to the bat and scored 61 not out as Bradshaw responded with only four wickets lost – Imran Mirza and Farhat took two apiece.
