THE Bolton Cricket League have elected their cricket committee to take the expanding league forward.
The League is increasing from 14 clubs to one division of 21 next season with two divisions: they hope of 24 clubs: the following year.
They have announced a new 40-over cup competition: the Peter Stafford Memorial Trophy sponsored by new backers Heineken and will also play a midweek Twenty20 Cup competition.
The expanding structure requires an increasing number of people to organise it and the Bolton League has put people in positions to ensure it runs well.
They already have a large number of experienced administrators who have run the League for many years and have recruited some highly-rated officials from the Bolton Association who are bringing nine clubs to the League next season.
At least one more top Association official may also have joined the League had the Association not decided to suspend their league rather than fold it completely.
The new committee sees John Hutchinson confirmed as chairman after a period as acting chairman.
The vice-chairman is Phil Andrews from ex-Association club Daisy Hill.
Other former Association people elected into roles are Lostock's Mike Cregan who is junior chairman, and Daisy Hill's Neil Redford who is the League's discipline representative.
