THUSHENDRA De Zoysa starred with both the bat and ball as Blackrod eased past Golborne to book their place in the quarter-final of the Hamer Cup on Sunday.

The Sri Lankan bowled a seven-wicket haul for 27 runs as Golborne were bowled out for 114.

Johann Brohier top scored for the hosts hitting 27.

Blackrod were set a revised target of 104 from 42 overs. When De Zoysa turned his hand to the bat he knocked 43 to wrap up the win with five wickets and 10 overs to spare.

Little Lever were reduced to a 20-over match at home to Lostock.

The hosts opened the batting as Curtis Anderson knocked 35 and Andy Worden scored 16 not out.

David Flanagan (3-28) and Tom Sheen (2-24) impressed with the ball as the Victory Road side posted 100-8.

Flanagan hit 43 when he turned his hand to the bat and Connor Hicklin added 41 not out as the visitors wrapped up the win with six wickets to spare.

Craig Mann was the only bowler of note taking 2-15.

Adlington knocked Eagley out in a 20-over game.

Zaraq Nazir scored 40 as the Huyton Road side ran up a tally of 137-7.

Danny Counsell (3-25) and Agar Salman (3-22) did the damage with the ball.

Wicketkeeper Jack Wainman top scored with 21 in reply but the Dunscar outfit fell 30 runs short as the overs expired.

Rain caused Little Hulton's home clash with Horwich to be postponed and was due to be continued on Monday.

The hosts were bowled out for 161 inside 39 overs, and the Ramsbottom Road side responded well scoring 93-6 with 12 overs remaining.

But heavy rainfall meant the match could not be completed.
