MATT Parkinson is making his debut for Lancashire one to remember after taking two wickets for 39 runs off 18 overs on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old former Bolton School and Canon Slade sixth form student earlier scored nine runs as the Red Rose side finished on 308 all out before Warwickshire replied with 202-6 in the County Championship.

To make his first-class debut even more special the wickets the former Heaton Cricket Club player took were those of ex-England star Jonathan Trott and the visitors' highly-rated opener Varun Chopra.
