GREATER Manchester Cricket League leaders Egerton were given a scare at home against Unsworth on Saturday.

The visitors, who picked up only their second win of the season last weekend against long-time leaders Prestwich, bowled out Egerton for 121.

Kasun Ranasinghe (29) and Marcus Pratt (22) were the only home batsmen to make it past 20.

But Egerton's bowling attack came to their rescue as Adam Street bowled 3-14 and Will Halton and Adnan Raees both posted figures of 3-20 to bowl the visitors out for 76.

Edgworth's relegation plight worsened as they fell to a 126-run defeat against Flixton.

Summit Panda's 103 was not enough for Edgworth as they fell well short of Flixton's total of 313-4, which included centuries for Luke Perry (127 not out) and Marlon Welcome-Goodman (119).

In Division One, Astley and Tyldesley slumped to defeat at Woodhouses.

Tylor Trenoweth hit 130 and Alex Spender made 53 as the hosts put on 241-7. Jordan O'Malley did the most damage with the ball, taking 3-72.

The Gin Pit outfit started their reply well as opening duo Jimmy Cutt (62) and Joel Brockley (52) put on 102 for the first wicket.

But after they were separated the batting line-up collapsed and the visitors were bowled out for 191.

Deane and Derby remain top of the Third Divison despite defeat to Denton West's second XI.

Ben Lowndes hit 31 and Luke Kilburn added 35, but superb bowling from Mohammed Bhola (5-55) and Sarfaraz Patel (3-23) had Denton bowled out for 153.

Annis Patel, Jerjis Jeewa and Yaha Adia all scored 23 as Deane chased down their target but they fell 13 runs short as Matt Senior took 4-44 and Luke Melling ended with 3-44.
