TWO Bolton girls have been selected for the Lancashire Thunder Development Centre for elite cricketers.
Shachi Pai and Daisy Mullan are among 15 players to be called up for the squad for special coaching and support.
The squad is taken from across Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria and Staffordshire and are considered the cream of the area's young female players.
Pai, aged 18, who plays for Astley Bridge in the Bolton League, has been a top young player for years.
She has played for Lancashire at all girls' age groups from under-15s up to senior first team and England at under-15s.
In the summer she helped Lancashire Women win the ECB Women's County Championship Division Two title and promotion back to the top flight.
Mullan, who plays for Bradshaw, has been called up despite being only 13 years old.
There are only six development centres around the country and are set up to give high quality coaching and support to a small elite pool of the best teenage talent in the country.
