BOLTON cricket sensation Haseeb Hameed is set to make his England Test debut against India in Rajkot tomorrow.
The 19-year-old has been announced by captain Alastair Cook as his latest opening partner in the first of the five-Test series.
Hameed, who came through the juniors at Tonge and Farnworth Social Circle, will replace Ben Duckett, who partnered Cook during the recent 1-1 series draw against Bangladesh.
Hameed to open with Cook then...well, one has to remain neutral, but will always support a Bolton boy, even if he did play at Social circle!

Ducket is set to drop down to number four to make way for the young Lancashire batsman who is the youngest player to represent Lancashire since the war and made history in August by becoming the county's first batsman to score centuries in both innings of a Roses clash in the County Championship.
"Has is going to open the batting and Ben is going to bat at four," Cook said.
"It's unfortunate for Gary (Ballance). In his six Test matches back, he hasn't quite scored the runs he would have liked to.
Good Luck to ex-Tonge CC Junior @HaseebHameed97 from 70 mph on the bowling machine at 7yr old to the test arena! 🏏 https://t.co/vrkVLKMuEL

"It has given someone else an opportunity and it's a very exciting day for a young guy who has impressed everyone so far on this trip.
"You often wonder with a 19-year-old coming on tour whether he will be overawed by it, and he hasn't been at all."
STAT: @HaseebHameed97, 19, will become only the second teenager to play Test cricket for @englandcricket since 1949.
