CLYDE Fortuin scored an incredible 160 with the bat as Edgworth blasted past Winton to rise to fourth in the Greater Manchester Cricket League Division One.

The professional knocked his third century in five games off only 116 balls as the Bolton Road side scored 342-4.

Josh Fallows (64) and Liam Watkinson (74) also scored high.

Mike Seenan top scored with 66 not out in reply but Winton struggled to chase their mammoth target and finished on 224-7 as the overs expired. Adam Syddall was the pick of the bowlers taking 3-45.

In the Premier League, Egerton have put their slow start to the season behind them by securing back-to-back victories with a win away at Prestwich.

After skipper Will Halton fell for just three runs, the Blackburn Road side kicked into gear with a string of fine batting performances.

Mahela Udawatte (51), Daniel Partington (40) and Anthony Clegg (22no) were the pick of the batsmen as Egerton stormed to a score of 186-7.

Andrew Bradley did the most damage with the ball taking 4-56.

In the second innings, Matt Parkinson and Amal Dalugoda each took for wickets apiece as Prestwich fell 37 runs shy of the target.

Astley and Tyldesley remain at the top of the Division Two table despite suffering defeat to Whalley Range.

Faizan Ahmed (32), Ejaz Din (35) and Ateeque Din (29) impressed with the bat as Range ran up a total of 166-8.

Nathan McDonnell was the only bowler of note with figures of 3-48.

A&T’s response was almost non-existent as they struggled on 39-5 but Aaron Booth scored 50no to bump the score up to 132 where the final wicket fell.

Waqas Malik was the star bowler taking 6-30.
