BOLTON NEWS FANTASY CRICKET: Report, tables and team of the week from round 13

The Tonge player takes over at the top of the leaderboard from Raj Shah who spent two weeks on top.

He drops to second place with Neil Kell, Horwich Cricket Club and Mike Leeming occupying the other top five places, while it was a good week for Farnworth player Iain McLellan who makes it into the top 10 the first time.

With a few teams not playing because of the weather last Saturday, Tonge professional Tilaksha Malshan again becomes the overall most valuable player. Farnworth Social Circle's Ryan Ayres returns to the top 10, breaking the one week monopoly of the professionals.

There are several familiar faces in the team of the week, and debuts for Little Hulton's Sajawal Khan and Irfan Puda from Astley Bridge.

With the competition heading into the last few weeks the race for the £400 prize on offer to the winner – sponsored by Anthony Axford timber merchants of Farnworth – is hotting up.

All the entries picked teams of 11 players from the 20 sides in the Bolton League’s two divisions and the entry which amasses the most points at the end of the Bolton League season wins the money.

Points are awarded to the players depending on how well they perform in the 18 league games, and the winning entrant will be the one who amasses the most points throughout the season.

The competition is based on the MVP (Most Valuable Player) statistics from the electronic scoring system CricHQ.

Entrants have selected five players from the Premier Division and five from the Association Division plus one professional from either division.

The fun game runs throughout the Bolton League season and every Thursday an updated table is in The Bolton News and on our website.
