JOINT leaders Farnworth and Walkden both have home ties in the Anthony Axford Bolton League Premiership Division tomorrow as they look to maintain their perfect starts to the campaign.
Farnworth host Horwich RMI, while Walkden entertain Bradshaw – the pair both looking for a fourth successive victory.
Simon Booth’s reigning champions take on a Horwich side that beat Lostock by three wickets last Saturday, Brett Pelser having taken five wickets in that game.
Farnworth, meanwhile, crushed Atherton by 239 runs after centuries from Imran Mirza (101) and Noman Ali (131) helped them amass a huge 344-6.
Ali then took 6-46 as Atherton mustered just 105-9 in reply.
Walkden also registered a big victory, by 168 runs against Kearsley, after Akbar ur Rehman hit an unbeaten century.
Tahir Maqsood and Nick Stobart then took five wickets apiece to bowl Kearsley out for 96.
Kearsley will look to bounce back tomorrow at Westhoughton and leapfrog their hosts in the table.
The Howfeners recorded their first league win with an eight-wicket triumph against Daisy Hill last weekend with good knocks from Rob Brown (79), Matt Morris (61 not out) and Mark Atherton (47) helping them reach their winning total.
Elsewhere tomorrow, Atherton face the other Farnworth side, Social Circle, while Daisy Hill visit Lostock with both sides still searching for their first win of the season.
On Sunday, several sides are in Lancashire KO action with Farnworth hosting Todmorden and Walkden at home against Rainhill.
Kearsley host Crompton, Farnworth Social circle visit Sutton, Bradshaw travel to Rochdale, Horwich RMI visit Salesbury and Westhoughton make the trip to Monton.
