EGERTON moved a point above Edgworth in the Greater Manchester Cricket League Premier Division after a two-wicket home win against their Bolton rivals on Saturday.

Batting first, the visitors began brightly with opener Ally Dickson top scoring with 53.

But three wickets apiece for Phil Dickinson (3-40), Amal Dalugoda (3-23) and Syd De Silva (3-19) restricted Edgworth to 140 all out.

Bowlers Josh Fallows (3-24) and Liam Watkinson (3-23) were also in the wickets for Edgworth but a good knock of 49 from Danny Partington helped the hosts reach 141-8 to secure their third league win of the campaign.
