SCORING unbeaten hundreds is becoming a habit at Adlington.

Andrew Leyland took their tally of century stars to four in a fortnight last weekend.

The 17-year-old scored 109 not out in the second team's defeat of local rivals Blackrod.

The youngster's impressive performance followed a remarkable day a fortnight earlier when the Huyton Road club had a trio of ton-up triumphs to celebrate.

Iain Critchley scored 134 not out against Heaton for the first team, while at the same time captain Eddie Haddon and vice captain Andrew Chamberlain both recorded unbeaten hundreds against Eagley for the second team.

The quartet of three-figure achievements are part of plenty of success the club has had to cheer them this season.

The first team have been the surprise package in the Association division.

They were unfancied by many at the beginning of the campaign but six wins out of seven league games see them top the Association division by five points, while the second team are currently third in their division.
