Didsbury Northern 1st 3 Bolton Men 1st 3 BOLTON'S third game of the season proved to be frustrating as they had to settle for a draw.
They allowed the hosts to pull level after they led 2-0 with only 20 minutes gone.
Bolton started much the better of the two sides and they edged ahead thanks to a neat finish by John Woods.
He grabbed his second when he deflected the ball past a static Didsbury keeper.
But Bolton conceded a penalty corner just before half-time and Didsbury scored against the run of play.
Didsbury came out in the second half with renewed desire and grabbed a freakish second and then a well taken third to go 3-2 up with 10 minutes to play.
Going behind then kick-started Bolton, who missed chance after chance in the final 10 minutes until David Flanagan came to the rescue to equalise with the last touch of the game.
Bolton 2nd 2 West Cumbria 1st 1 BOLTON came back after West Cumbria opened the scoring with a freakish finish.
Cumbria led at half time, but Bolton struck back within five minutes of the restart thanks to a superb reverse stick strike from Adam Friend.
They grabbed the winner from a well-worked short corner routine involving Rob Davies and Matt Rimmer which set up Chris Lord, who smashed home from a tight angle.
l A hat-trick from Si Coles and goals from Keith Stanley, Paul Bradshaw and Peter Sutherland helped Bolton 3rd to a 6-4 win at Cheetham Hill.
Bolton 6th beat Urmston 5th 10-0 at home.
Bolton Ladies 1st 0 Springfields 5 Despite some good saves from stand in keeper Sian Godwyn, Bolton were 4-0 down at half time, and did not look like scoring.
The second half started much the same as the first, and Springfields made it five after their superb centre forward swept past the Bolton midfield and defence to set up their final goal.
Bolton HC Ladies 4th 4 Elton 2 Both teams played well in the first half, but by half-time, Bolton Hockey Club Ladies were leading 2-0, with Sally Robinson getting both goals.
The second half started well for Bolton with Jenna Hill scoring their third goal. Elton soon replied, but Bolton came back with a goal from Hayley Boothroyd.
Elton added a second before the final whistle.
Jason Kenny, the 20-year-old Olympic double medal winner from Farnworth, is now looking forward to returning home to celebrate with family and friends.
