Bolton had a great start to the New Year with victory at Urmston in an exciting, and high-scoring, encounter.
In the first half, it was Urmston who made the first breakthrough after an unfortunate own goal, but Bolton equalised through Sue Booth.

Once more Urmston went ahead, but again Bolton countered them, this time through Louise Heaney and the match was evenly poised at 2-2 going into the break.
Bolton eased ahead in the second half with a brace from Julie Bluer and they looked to have the game sewn up at 4-2.
As the game drew towards its close, the home side managed another goal and this set up for a thrilling finale, but Bolton defended resolutely to retain all three points.
