HOCKEY: With more than a third of the squad missing Bolton arrived at Alderley Edge with just 10 players, but they all upped their game to make up the shortfall.
After the initial expected pressure from Edge, the Bolton team soon found their feet and started to set the pace of the game. But it was the home side who took the lead after 20 minutes but as usual the Bolton team kept their heads and Gareth Wright levelled on the half-hour mark with a first time strike into the bottom left corner.
Edge finished the half by converting a penalty stroke after the ball was stopped on the line by a defender's foot.
