Edinburgh Capitals have announced that British defender Kyle Horne will be returning for the 2008/09 season in the bmibaby Elite Ice Hockey League.
This will be Horne's third season with the Capitals. Last season he had 12 points (4 goals and 8 assists) and 70 penalty minutes to his name from 63 games. Horne also represented Team Great Britain at the 2008 World Championships.
Horne said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to play for Edinburgh again this season. Last season the team fought against the odds to improve and it was great to be part of that and now to be involved again as the team moves forwards will be really exciting.
"I hope to be able to continue to improve and make a real difference for the Capitals this coming season."
Capitals Director Of Hockey, Doug Christiansen said: "Kyle is one of the top defenders in the UK. He is a national team player and is a well liked teammate. Kyle brings us a great locker room presence and is a player who is willing to do whatever is asked of him.
"He brings depth and security to our blueline. A quality British defender is a very important commodity and we have one of the best. Kyle is a very likable person and is someone that helps bring the team together. He always has a smile on his face and is a pleasure to be around.
"I am looking for Kyle to add more offensively this year and give us a few key goals. He has the ability to be a top level player in this league. I am pleased to have a proven GB International back on our squad."
