WINTER ROUNDERS: Redgate Ladies beat Eagley Pike Ladies by 75 runs to stay top of the table, three points ahead of Divas, who have two games in hand.
CBA XI moved two points clear of Eagley Pike when they beat bottom side Darcy Blues by 11 runs.
The Farnworth League is far from settled following BYPA's shock defeat to third-placed The Grapes who made a spectacular start with two rounders. BYP responded well and started their first innings with a rounder and went on to lead by seven runs (86-79) at the interval.
The Grapes did an excellent containment job in the second innings and restricted BYP to 63 runs whilst scoring 72 themselves to win the game by just two runs.
Second-placed Elton Vale had a comfortable win over Little Lever AFC and are now just one point behind the leaders, so, when these sides meet next week, the outcome could decide the title.
The Grapes are just three points adrift of the leaders with four matches to play, so they have not given up hope of winning the league, and Applejax, just one point further back, still have an outside chance after beating BYP Ladies B by 29 runs.
Wally's Eleven are still without a win, but they came close against Little Lever CC. Three runs behind on the first innings at 66-69, they added 76 in the second innings, but Little Lever also raised their game to win by eight runs.
Dave's Minibus put some space between themselves and Blades Barbers in mid table with a 17-run victory.
Now that two teams have withdrawn from the Eagley Winter Rounders League, the organisers have decided that the teams which would then be without a game, will play each other in friendlies.
