Divas shine to deny Redgate league title

Winter Rounders THE Eagley Winter Rounders League completed its programme on Sunday and there were some interesting results.

Davies XI, who have finished third, beat Divas by 22 runs and prevented them taking the title from Redgate Ladies who had already completed their fixtures.

The other match saw Darcy Blues put up a tremendous performance against Eagley Pike to claw their way off the bottom of the table and swap places with Eagley.

Redgate Ladies have retained the championship and Divas have had to settle for second place.

In the Farnworth League, BYP Ladies A completed their season with victory over their B team and lead the table by one point ahead of Elton Vale who had an innings win over Little Lever CC.

Elton, however, have a game in hand and victory over Wallys Eleven will make them the champions.
