Champions look for flying start

BOLTON Ladies Rounders League will start its season with the Crystal Champions Tournament on Sunday at Walkden CC at 11am.

Sixteen champion teams from 2007 will be entered into four groups, playing a 40 good balls single innings match, with the winners going through to a semi final.

Group One: Darcy Lever B, Rupert Ladies A, Nicholson, Widdows Mason.

Group Two: Railway Ladies, Judge & Partners, Future XI, Redgate Ladies.

Group Three: Pineapple Chunks, Impression Ladies, Walkden CC B, Sweet Greens, Dream Team.

Group Four: Daves Minibus, The Grapes C, Darcy Lever CC D, Heaton Ladies B.

Players for the 11am start are asked to arrive no later than 10.45am, and 11.30am for 11.45am start.

League matches will start on Monday, April 14, with 150 teams divided into 15 sections. Teams and referees are reminded that all matches in April must start at 6.45pm.

Over 45's Interleague manager Maria Kirkman has arranged three practices at St James High School, Highfield Road, Farnworth, on Friday, April 11, 6.45pm; Sunday, April 20, 11am; Sunday, June 1, 11am. Any interested players are asked to attend or contact Maria (telephone no in 2008 handbook).
