IAN Millward is among three candidates in the running to be Leigh Centurions' new head coach.
Despite weekend reports stating that Millward has decided to stay in Australia to pursue his career, Leigh have held more talks this week.
While the Centurions are keen on bringing their favourite Aussie back to Hilton Park they face stiff competition from Canberra Raiders.

Millward, who first cut his coaching teeth in the English game at Leigh, will leave his current post as assistant coach with North Queensland Cowboys at the end of the current NRL season.
As well being in discussion with Leigh, Millward is also in talks with Canberra.
He has been offered the assistant's role in the Australian capital but, perhaps significantly, has told Leigh he's not accepted it yet.
Meanwhile, Wigan's Pat Richards has signed a new three-year contract at the JJB Stadium.
The Australian star, who joined Warriors from NRL Grand Final winners Wests Tigers in 2006, was Super League's top points scorer last season.
Richards' decision to commit his future to Wigan comes just 24 hours after coach Brian Noble put pen to paper on a new 18-month deal.
"My family and I have had three fantastic years at Wigan and I am delighted to be staying until at least 2011," said the 26-year-old goal-kicker.
