Lions to host rugby league tournament

Westhoughton Lions will be holding a tag tournament and are looking for local businesses, organisations and groups to enter nine-a-side teams.
The tournament, open to men and women aged 16 and over, starts on Wednesday, July 2, and will run for four weeks with the final on Wednesday, July 23. Games start at 7pm and the event will last no longer than two hours each week.
Each player will be asked to donate £1 per week for playing which will go to the Westhoughton Lions Club and to the Bolton & Bury Rugby League Service Area. Funds raised will promote the further development of the sport in Bolton and Bury.
Teams interested must enter by Monday, June 30, with team details and a contact name and number, either by email to alankilshaw@ hotmail.com, by post to Alan Kilshaw, St Josephs RC high School, Chorley New Road, Horwich, BL6 BLW, or phone Alan on 07874 308426.
