Double dose of defeat for young Bolton

RUGBY UNION: BOLTON under-12s battled hard, but came away empty-handed against a hard-working Tyldesley side - evetually losing 30-14.

However, Bolton went ahead after just four minutes when captain Nathan Felton touched down following a fine solo run.

Tyldesley immediately woke up and started to turn the screw on the depleted Bolton side.

Even brave tackling from Brandon Kingston, Curtis Waugh and Jonny Garrett could not stem the flow of tries which then bombarded the Bolton team.

Bolton started to throw the ball wider in the second half and Brandon Kingston received the ball on the wing in his own half and made it all the way to the try line for Bolton's second, which he duly converted. Tyldesley replied with two further tries before the final whistle.

Bolton Under-16s were also beaten, as Ormskirk ran home 29-7 victors.

Rhys Pritchard's try was converted by Andy Crimmins for Bolton to gain some respectability, but it proved in vain.
