A BOLTON Ju Jutsu club are celebrating after their members brought home a host of medals.
Lauren Holt (silver), Christine Ward (Instructor), Bethany Ramsden (silver), Tyler Bailey (gold), Charlotte Preston (gold), Nicole Hennessey (bronze) and Danny Sumner (gold) were in action at the IMASA championships at Chesterfield.
Senior Instructor Michael Ward said: "They fought brilliantly and made us all very proud of them at the Bolton Go-Shin Jitsu club based at Leverhulme Community Centre where they train very hard on a Tuesday night.
"It was a really tough competition as they were up against the best masters competitors in the country.
"There were 70 people taking part in the event and there was an interesting story as Danny emigrated after the competition last year and then he came back to defend the title for the second year running.
"We have no competitions planned and just have to wait and see when they come up.
"It was a cracking event and they all really enjoyed the event coming away with medals.
"We have lots of seniors in training and they will be back next year looking to pick up more silverware."
