NEW racing team Colt Motorsport are looking for potential sponsors to help get their cars on the starting grid.

The local team formed only in December are hoping to compete in some high profile races such as the Ginetta Racing series and already have one driver confirmed in the Renault Clio Cup.

Team Principle John Venn says the main aim is to compete in the British Tour Car Racing Championships.

“We are looking for at least two more drivers so we can compete in the Ginetta G55 and the Ginetta Junior G40. Without a partner we can’t put our cars on the grid. As talented as a driver may be, without the money there is nothing.”

In the form of Nick Moore they have a talented driver. At just 21 years of age he already has experience of driving in the Ginetta series, and with financial backing Venn knows the team can succeed.

“Nick is the complete driver, he knows our car and learns different tracks so quickly. He actually missed our first advertisement for drivers but we are so glad he is on board now.”

The team run by only five people hope to promote their cars and get involved within the local community at the same time by going into schools and businesses.

“We want to be able to go into schools, into the town centre and show off the cars and get people involved. Businesses can use it as a promotional tool,” said Venn.
