LOSTOCK AC runner Thomas Smith was first back for the club in its own Lostock Six-Mile road race.
In a field of 201 competitors, Smith was eighth in a time of 36mins 1secs in what was the 33rd annual race over the undulating route.
Ahead of him, it was a Bolton United Harriers and Athletic Club one-two as Jonny Kay (31:01) edged out club mate Karl Darcy into second place overall.
Bolton also won the men's team prize on the day, overcoming difficult conditions in sleet and snow.
Darwen Dasher Joanne Nelson was the first lady back in a time 36:46, beating Christina Singleton from Trawden AC by
just 10 seconds.
There was a big Dasher turnout and they secured the ladies' team prize.
