A BIG-HITTING partnership by Younis Anwar and Kamran Younis lit up Bradshaw's 105-run victory over Read in the first round of the Lancashire Knockout on Sunday.
Anwar hit 91 including nine fours and six sixes while pro Younis scored 67 which featured eight fours and two sixes against the Ribblesdale League visitors.
Together they produced a stand of 147 to take the score from 24-2 to 171-3.
Elliott Lowes took 5-43 off eight overs for Read as no other Bradshaw player scored more than 19.
Steve Foster then took 3-21 off nine for the Bolton League side, including two wickets in his maiden last over.
It was not such a good day in the competition for two other Bolton League sides as Horwich lost to Lowerhouse and Westhoughton were knockout out by Glodwick.
Three out of five Bolton Association sides went through to the second round, with Association reigning champions Flixton beating Littleborough Lakeside, Bury ending a run of three straight defeats with a 98-run win against Great Eccleston and Atherton having a seven-wicket victory over Rochdale Catholic Club.
Daisy Hill suffered a 99-run defeat to Settle and Walshaw went down by 16 runs to Norden.
