DAVID Flatley and Jamie McDougall both struck century’s as Swinton Moorside thrashed Westleigh by 232 runs.

Flatley hit 17 fours and a six as he opened the scoring with 119. He was soon joined at the crease by McDougall who notched 113no which included eight fours and seven sixes. Chris Norvall chipped in with 45 late on.

Robert Entwistle was the only bowler of note taking 3-69.

In reply the battling line up failed to handle the bowling prowess of Matthew Norvall who took 5-42, and Brad Palmer also bowled six overs and took 3-10 – which included three maidens.

The win ensures Swinton sit third in the table, three points being Walshaw.

Bury cruised to nine-wicket victory against Flixton.

Neil Tonge (3-36), Faisal Ali (3-7) and Matt Smalley (3-31) impressed from the off and bowled last year’s champions out for 107 – Adrian Holmes top-scoring with 44.

Simon Belston (57no) and Ashen Silva (42no) led the response to claim the victory inside 27 overs to the loss of one wicket.

Brett Cox led Winton to a six-wicket victory against Daisy Hill.

Imtiaz Cheema (30) and James Mann (72) set Daisy off to a good start but a late collapse in the batting order had them bowled out for 182 – Will Driver (5-46) and Kyle Humphrys (4-30) doing the damage with the ball.

Winton started slow and found themselves struggling on 24-4 but Brett Cox smashed 18 fours and a six to total 102 runs of just 99 balls. Captain Driver also turned his hand to the bat and struck 54no to record the victory in emphatic style.
