MARKLAND Hill Tennis Club is celebrating achieving the national Tennis Clubmark level of excellence.
Clubmark involves meeting a number of criteria and it means that the Lawn Tennis Association endorses and supports the club’s tennis programme, policies and procedures, action and development and its management.
This national recognition opens the door for funding and allows local partnerships to be developed with the Heaton club.
The Markland Hill club is already building useful links with nearby Markland Hill County Primary School.
Club official Malcolm Bailey said: “Members and coaches have worked hard to achieve Clubmark and we are very proud of the achievement.”
