BOXING: Rick Godding made toast out of William Warburton to set up a showdown with former footballer Curtis Woodhouse.
The ex-soldier recorded his 11th straight win in a six-rounder at Leigh’s Indoor Sports Centre on Friday night.
Light-welterweight Gooding was just too good for Atherton’s Warburton and he won every round in a convincing points victory.
The Blackrod bomber will now put his unbeaten record on the line against former Sheffield United and Birmingham star Woodhouse in Rotherham on April 25.
