LEIGH Centurions will equal a club record losing run of 18 successive defeats if they lose their opening match of the season after being relegated from engage Super League.

They lost their last 17 matches of 2005, consisting of 16 in Super League and one Powergen Challenge Cup-tie. Their last win was 40-20 at home to Halifax in the Powergen Challenge Cup fifth round on May 8.
