DIVISION Two teams enjoyed the most success in the second round of Bolton Table Tennis League's Warburton Cup.
Six went into the hat for the next stage along with four Premier division teams and three each from divisions one and three, all division four teams have now been eliminated.
Division Two's top side, Heaton D, with a two start, scraped home 5-4 at First Division Wingates thanks to three wins by Dave Scowcroft and one apiece from Steve Peet and Mel Brooks.

BEN A, from the same league, gave Fourth Division Little Lever E five points start but ran out 5-4 winners, with two victories by Mike Heaton and Alan Hibbert plus one by Phil Calvert, Martin Archer and Gary Bateson in fine form two apiece for the losers.
The Third Division Farnworth Social Circle trio, John Kofi, John Rothwell and John Ainley each scored two succeses in their 6-3 win at Fourth Division Lads Club who were on plus two.
Paul Cicchelli trebled for Prem team Burning Desire A, who beat Division One leaders Nomads A 6-3, as did Ady Denson for Heaton E who overcame their C team 6-3 from scratch.
Division Three's Withins A on plus four came away with a 6-3 win at Division One's Hilton C, which featured three triumphs for Ben Dudley, two by Stuart Wallis, and one by Debbie Wilson.
Division One top spot contenders, Heaton B, proved too strong for Division Three's Meadow Hill B on plus five, running out 6-3 winners, with three victories by Paul Ward.
Hilton J, on a two start, Division Three rivals Hilton I with three wins by Richard Reading and two apiece by Adele Spibey and Jean Smart.
Division One's Hilton D defeated 7-2 winners at Fourth Division St Paul's Peel on five start, with Dave Andrews their unbeaten player.
Three wins by Roger Bertrand and two apiece for John Barker and Len Walker gave Second Division Hilton E their 7-2 victory over Third Division BEN B on plus three.
Top-flight outfit Ramsbottom A sealed a comfortable 7-2 triumph over fellow Prem team Little Lever B on plus three, with three wins by Mark Ramsbottom and two apiece by Mick Moir and Andy Jackson.
Little Lever A, Ladybridge B, Meadow Hill A and Heaton A all received walk-overs.
Meanwhile, former long-time Britain number one women's table tennis player, Andrea Holt, has started a new club for players to practise and be coached, at St James High School, Lucas Road, Farnworth, every Friday night between 6pm and 9pm. Players of all abilities are welcome.
