Premier Division leaders Ramsbottom A scored maximum points at Little Lever B, while the two teams jostling for second place, Hilton A and B, did not play.

Wharton have moved steadily up the table over the past few weeks into fourth place, they ran out 6-3 winners against Burning Desire A with their three players Bob Jackson, Barry Elliott, and Glen Payne recording two wins, with Lyndsey Reynolds unbeaten for the losers.

Phil Biggs and Jake Shaw trebled for Tameside who won 7-2 at Heaton A, as did Nigel Hallows and Mike Dore for Radcliffe who won 6-3 at Burning Desire B.

Division One leaders Heaton B came out on top 7-2 against Little Lever C, while Nomads A in second spot reduced the deficit to seven points with their 8-1 win at Hilton C.

Paul Ward and Craig Johnson were unbeaten for Heaton, as was Clive Taylor and Derek Watmough for Nomads.

Bottom team Little Lever D recorded their second win of the season at YMCA 6-3, which featured three wins by Mark Martin, two by sub Martin Archer and one by Brian Hardman.

They are now four points behind Tonge B who drop to second bottom on the strength of their 9-0 defeat by Hilton D. Nomads B scored a 5-4 win at Ladybridge with three wins by Dave Holden and two by Gareth Palmer.

There were no changes at the top of Division Two. Top team Heaton D won 6-3 at Hilton G with all their players winning two sets.

Heaton E in second spot scraped home 5-4 against their C team thanks to the three wins by Alan Crompton. Meadowbank, who are now six points behind in third place, were beaten 7-2 at Hilton F, followed by a 7-2 win over Hilton G.

John Cartledge and Eamon McEntee trebled for the F team, and Richard Hinchcliffe was unbeaten for Meadowbank in the second match.

Cartledge also trebled against Meadow Hill but his team lost 6-3 against Hilton F. Mike Dunn scored three wins for Heaton F who beat Ladybridge B 7-2, as did Jim Bolton for Hilton E who beat BEN A 6-3.

Ramsbottom C move back to the top of the Third Division after taking maximum points against Meadow Hill B, while Withins B drop to second spot following their 5-4 loss at Tonge C, which leaves them two points behind the leaders who have a match in hand.

Steven Hall and Stuart McCaig recorded two wins, and Paul Minogue one for Tonge, with the Top Ten leader Stuart Wallis unbeaten for Withins.

Hilton K scored a 7-2 win at bottom team Irlam which included trebles from Malcolm Wilcock and Alan Revell. Only three results were received in Division Four. Hilton M, in second place in the league table, beat Heaton H 7-2, with trebles by Callan Tolladay and Tim Fields plus one win by Matt Fields.

St Paul's Peel recorded a 6-3 win against Brass, with Rory McIntyre, Keith Phillips and Rhys McIntyre each winning two sets for St Pauls, and Eugene Mutebwa unbeaten for Brass.
