The nine men held out for 20 minutes before Alan Mitchell gave BLGC the lead.

Chorlton’s manager arrived late but took to the field to boost their numbers and, after soaking up plenty of pressure but BLGC put the 10 men under severe pressure, but they held on and Ian Taylor scored a deserved equaliser two minutes from time.

In Division Three, Failsworth Home Guard were held to a 2-2 draw by Whitefield Cons, Paul Scholes and Andrew Yeoman scoring for Failsworth, and Bolton Wyresdale beat Elton Liberals 3-1 victory.
