NEIL Lennon admits he’s spoilt for choice with four fit centre-halves available for today’s clash at QPR.

With Derik Osede back from suspension and Dorian Dervite fit again after an ankle injury, the Wanderers boss has a big call on his hands at Loftus Road.

Prince-Desire Gouano and David Wheater partnered each other in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Brighton but Lennon is relishing the prospect of a defensive selection headache at Loftus Road.

“It’s a luxury we have not been afforded for a while,” he told The Bolton News. “It’s pleasing that we have a bit of depth in defence.

“Clearly they can’t all play, so we’ll have to make a choice, but the competition is very healthy for the team.

“I thought that it was very important to get that this season – we have it at right back where Francesco Pisano came through his first game very well last season and also at left-back, where Dean Moxey hasn't been able to train through the week because of his toe. But he has been playing very well.

“Jose Manuel Casado back in the mix now so we have cover in all positions which is very pleasing.”

Spanish full-back Casado has shrugged off a minor injury to take his place in today’s squad, looking for their first away win in nearly six months.

Both sets of supporters are planning a peaceful protest during the game against the prices of away tickets as part of the Football Supporters Federation’s Twenty’s Plenty campaign.

And Lennon wants to reward the loyalty of the club’s travelling fans by rectifying what he describes as the “major bugbear” of his year-long reign at the club.

“I appreciate the expenditure is a lot for the working man and so, of course, you want to send those fans home happy,” he said.

“We’re working very hard to do just that and I’ve looked at a bit more footage of QPR this week and looked at ways we can potentially hurt them.

“It’s something that has become quite a frustration to me because there have been some good performances in there, like Blackburn where we got a point and could have won the game in the second half. We played well at MK Dons too but got absolutely nothing from it.

“Then there are games when we have been disappointing – certainly one half at Middlesbrough and one half at Huddersfield.

“So we’re looking at that situation and working hard to put it right. That way the fans can come away with something to celebrate.”
