BOLTON football prospect Henri Ogunby made a flying start to his Manchester City under-18s career on Saturday.

The 15-year-old forward scored and set up another goal on his debut for the side in a 4-4 draw with Everton in the U18s Premier League at the City Football Academy.

Ogunby, who is from Ladybridge and began playing football for Ladybridge juniors, completed the full 90 minutes of his City u18s debut.

He impressed with his overall performance which saw him play on the left wing in the first half before being switched to his more familiar right-wing position.

The former Beaumont Primary School pupil, who also went to Canon Slade School for a year, provided the assist for the opening goal in the second minute.

After the Blues had gone 4-2 behind, he scored in the 83rd minute to set up a tense finish which saw his side score the equalising goal.

He played for Ladybridge until Bury signed him when he was eight.

He played a year and two years above his age group during the three years he was at Bury.

A number of top English clubs then showed interest in signing him and he chose City where he has been for the last four years.
