PHIL Parkinson has called for “one final push” from his players and the Wanderers fans in tomorrow’s promotion showdown.

Even though a point will more than likely be enough to seal a return to the Championship the Whites boss insists he’ll be going for all three against Peterborough United.

Fleetwood are the only team who can overtake Bolton at this point but they must win their game against relegation-threatened Port Vale and hope Parkinson’s men are beaten.

Confidence is high in the Wanderers camp and Parkinson has sent a message to the fans asking for their loudest backing from the opening whistle.

“I need them to come down and support us as well as they have all season,” he told The Bolton News. “They have been on a journey with us all the way through the trials and tribulations, now it’s time to see it home.

“As the season has gone on they’ve warmed to the team more and more so now all we need it one big last push from the players and the supporters alike.

“With 12 games to go we were four points behind Fleetwood, now we’re a couple ahead in a terrific position.”

Wanderers could bring Darren Pratley back into the squad after he returned to training following a hamstring injury. Gary Madine is also fit to play after managing his shoulder problem throughout the week.

“The lads are in a good place, and I think it’s good to have a few nerves going into a game like this,” said the manager, looking for a 25th victory of the campaign. “It’s about dealing with them and producing a good performance. We’ve got the players capable of doing it.

“We have produced when it mattered this season on several occasions. We did at Port Vale last week but we go again now and focus on what we have to do to play at our very best.

“When the nitty-gritty really kicked in this season we stood up. We’ve got to do that again now.”
