KEN Anderson has confirmed he is in talks with potential equity investors at Wanderers.

Writing in his notes for the official website, the chairman insisted he had personally funded the club in the past when required to do so, and would continue to do so for the “foreseeable future”.

But Anderson admits he is considering bringing in outside financial help with a new season in the Championship looming on the horizon.

Rumours have circulated for several months about foreign investment at Wanderers with a whole manner of nationalities linked with the club.

“I have never said outside money is not required,” he wrote.

“Indeed, l have always made it absolutely clear that we would welcome new equity funding on the right terms and are currently holding discussions with potential investors along these lines.”

Wanderers have already been made second favourites for the drop next season by SkyBet.

Barnsley and Burton Albion are 2/1 joint favourites, followed by the Whites (7/2) and Ipswich Town (9/2).

On a slightly more optimistic note, Phil Parkinson’s men are 9/1 to gain a second successive promotion and 33/1 to win the Championship title.
