ANOTHER weather affected day in the BSF Over 35s Football League saw just two games played in the First Division and one in the Second.
Manor Vets went top of Division One with a 4-3 win at Salford Victoria for whom Tony Weall scored a brace and John Smith one.
Those goals were more than cancelled out by replies from Andrew Naughton, Daniel Abuwiticz, Leon Hamilton and Dion Goodridge to move Manor Vets three points ahead of Bamford Arms who have two games in hand.
Salford Waggon won for the first time this season, although they have only played four games, which is five fewer than the league leaders.
Rob Faiyaz scored both their goals and they kept a clean sheet at Queen Lizzy on the artificial pitch.
In Division Two, Radcliffe Old Boys A jumped to the top with a 2-1 win on the 3G pitch at Bolton Lads and Girls Club. Wes Gallagher scored for BLGC, but a Gas Buckley double gave Radcliffe the points.
Results
Division One: Salford Victoria 3 Manor Vets 4, Queen Lizzy 0 Salford Waggon 2.
Division Two: Bolton Lads & Girls Club 1 Radcliffe Old Boys A 2.
