DAISY Hill host the first of two big derby matches in five days against Atherton LR tonight.
The Hallmark Security League Division One rivals meet at Daisy’s New Sirs ground in the LWC Drinks Division One Challenge Cup before meeting again in the league at the the same venue on Friday night.
Both games kick off at 7.45pm.
LR currently sit 12th in the league with Daisy 21st – second bottom – 15 points behind LR.
There is no chance of them being relegated, however, as the league is set to split into two regional divisions next season.
It is planned for a minimum of 10 new teams to join which would mean Division One would have 32 teams – 16 in each North and South division.
It is hoped there could be as many as 18 new teams joining which would enable the two regionalised divisions to have 20 teams.
