A LAST-minute Jason Perry goal gave Queen Anne all three points in a vital clash with fellow high-flyers Top Club in the Bolton at Home Sunday League Division One.

The teams in second and third places went into the game knowing victory was crucial to give their title hopes a major boost and dent the other's.

And the honours went to second-placed Queen Anne thanks to Perry slipping his marker and meeting Kris Powers' cross with a bullet header which gave the keeper no chance.

The game looked to be heading for a hard-fought draw after both teams had cancelled each out in a defence-dominated, tight affair.

The only other game in the division saw bottom club Manny Road earn a well-deserved point in a thrilling 4-4 draw with mid-table Dehaviland.

But it could so easily have been all three for the strugglers after they let slip a three-goal lead.

Dehaviland did not know what had hit them as goals from Ben Eccles, Xavier Close and Sam Santley saw them 3-0 behind after 30 minutes.

The comeback began in the 35th minute with an excellent finish from Kristian Preston.

Five minutes after the break it was 3-2 when consistent goalscorer Glen Mathews found the back of the net with a sublime finish.

Dehaviland's pressure paid off with an equaliser 15 minutes from time when veteran Danny Lowe scored with just the goalkeeper to beat.

Manny Road hit back and regained the lead through a Jake Fenton long-range shot with just five minutes remaining.

But Danny Kerrigan ensured Dehaviland finished with a share of the spoils when he superbly curled a 20-yard free kick around the wall with two minutes to go.

In Division two, Bolton Rangers won only their second match of the season with a 3-2 defeat of third-placed Deane.

Kyle Harrison, Barry Knowel and Graham Nicholson were on target for the winners, with Yaz Smajic and Gary Holt replying for Deane in a game which was cut short by 10 minutes due to an injury to Deane full-back Jake Whitaker who suffered a broken arm.

The only other game in the division saw second-placed Westhoughton beat Bolton Rangers away 3-1 with two goals from Declan King and one from Josh Pennington. John Yates replied for Bolton.
