BARR Hill are beginning to look invincible in search of the Division One title in the Bolton Over-35s Football League.

They made it six wins out of six with a 5-2 victory at Salford Waggon to leave themselves one point off top spot with five games in hand.

Barry Massey scored two with Jason Mears, Daniel Gilmore and Stephen Raymond adding the others for the winners while Adam Garner and Robert Fayaz replied for Waggon.

Manor Vets slipped to fourth by losing at home to Irlam Steel. Leon Hamilton and Daniel Abucewicz scored for Manor Vets, but a Lee Newbold strike and a Paul Wheeling double earned Irlam the points and, with games in hand, kept their title hopes alive.

Anthony Wheeling scored four as Salford Victoria crushed Queen Lizzy 5-0 on their own ground, Lee Newbold completing the rout.

There was no action in Division Two as the games at Tavern, Radcliffe Old Boys A, Dobbies A and Turton Vets were among seven in the league in total which were postponed due to the weather.

The Division Three games at Ainsworth and Failsworth were called off, but Horwich St Mary's Victoria had a good day as they beat bottom side Morning Star Vets 5-0.

With games in hand, Victoria could yet top the table.

Daniel Clarke scored four and James Charlton one while Morning Star remain without a point at the bottom of the table.

Vulcan Walkden, in fourth, moved four points above the team immediately below them, Wigan Town, by beating them 3-0 at home.

Wigan have a couple of games in hand, however.

Mark Morris, Brad Jones and John Morrison shared the goals with one each.

Division Four leaders Bolton Wyresdale ran riot as they beat struggling PF Bury 7-3.

Aaron McCarthy scored four, Jason Knowles two and Ste Carney one for the winners, while Noel Coleman scored a brace and Mike Gray one for Bury.

Deans Youth and Ladies and Bury Seniors finally earned their first point of the season as they drew 2-2 at Deans.

Mark Brady and Mark Rogers were on target for Deans and Wez Booth and Steve Goodridge scored for the visitors.
