GIRLS will have the chance next week to find out if they can get a kick out of football.

As part of national Girls' Football Week events are taking place in Bolton to provide opportunities to play the game.

The England-wide initiative is being run by the Football Association to get more girls involved in the sport.

AFC Bolton are running free sessions every day from Monday to Friday to give girls in the town the chance to play.

The sessions will located throughout various districts of Bolton to encourage girls in the town to take part regardless of where they live.

It is open to girls aged from four to 11 of all abilities regardless of whether they already play for a team or are complete beginners, and there will be FA level one-qualified coaches running the sessions.

Details for the sessions are as follows:

Monday, April 23 – 6pm-7pm at Little Lever Sports Centre all-weather surface.

Tuesday, April 24 – 6pm-7pm at St Joseph’s High School dome, Horwich.

Wednesday, April 25 – 6pm-7pm at Westhoughton High School all-weather surface.

Thursday, April 26 – 6pm-7pm at St James’ High School all-weather surface, Farnworth.

Friday, April 27 – 6pm-7pm at Canon Slade School all-weather surface.

The sessions are totally free with AFC Bolton funding all the costs, and girls who attend will be given the opportunity to join the club to have the chance to continue to play.
