DAISY Hill have confirmed Brian Hart as their new manager following the departure of Phil Roberts.

The New Sirs club announced changes at the helm on Tuesday night, as Roberts stepped down from the role because of a change in commitments outside the club.

The former Eagley and CMB boss had been in charge since October, and presided over a difficult season in the Hallmark Security League in which Daisy Hill finished 22nd.

Incoming boss Hart, a former Bolton Wanderers youth teamer who was once a boot boy for Sam Allardyce, had resigned last season alongside Craig and Marc Thomas.

“Brian is currently in the process of finalising his coaching team. A further announcement will be made when this is complete,” said a club statement.

“We would like to wish Brian all the success in what is looking to be a very exciting season for the club.”
