Daisy looking for more action

DAISY Hill are hoping the weather will be kind to them tomorrow when they host Vodkat NW Counties First Division promotion chasers Leek CSOB.

A combination of freezing conditions and heavy rain meant the New Sirs pitch was unfit for last weekend’s home league game against Eccleshall and Tuesday’s Vodkat League Cup third round tie against New Mills — a match that has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 13.

Craig Thomas’s side showed a lot of character when they beat Oldham Borough last time out and will be looking to climb into the top half of the table as they start to mop up a big backlog of fixtures.

Premier Division Atherton LR, who added to their fixture pile-up when their midweek home game against Runcorn Linnets was postponed, are at home to mid-table Squires Gate tomorrow.
