RADCLIFFE Borough slipped to third bottom of the Evo-Stik League Division One North after losing 2-1 at fellow-strugglers Harrogate Railway Athletic.
Dave Sherlock gave them the lead on 17 minutes but Steve Palfrey equalised for the Railwaymen on the stroke of half time and Michael Duckworth hit the winner 13 minutes from the end.
Borough are at home to Trafford today in their penultimate game of the season, kick-off 3pm.
Relegated Leigh Genesis were denied the consolation of victory when their former striker, Gavin Salmon, scored an 89th-minute equaliser to earn visitors Warrington Town a 3-3 draw.
Warrington were 2-0 up after 14 minutes when Mike Duffy and Craig Davies had Genesis reeling, but Neil Smith pulled one back three minutes later and the influential Nathan McDonald equalised three minutes into the second half. McDonald’s brother, Marvin, put Genesis ahead on 74 minutes before substitute Salmon claimed a point with a long-distance strike.
