ATHERTON LR took derby bragging rights from their North West Counties League Division One clash at Daisy Hill with a 1-0 win.
Adam Storey netted the only goal of the game, his second in consecutive matches, eight minutes from time to seal victory for Rovers.
The win leaves Rovers in 12th place in the division, while Daisy Hill are third bottom.
Elsewhere, Atherton Collieries won 2-0 at Rochdale Town and are in third spot thanks to second-half goals from Steve Rothwell (55) and Simon Howard (77).
Colls are in league action again tonight when they host fourth-placed West Didsbury & Chorlton knowing a win would secure third with one game left to play.
