ATHERTON Collieries travel to Radcliffe Borough tonight after they drew 1-1 in the FA Cup preliminary round on Saturday.
Mark Truffas gave Colls the the lead in the second minute with a curling a free-kick.
Gareth Peet and Paul Atherton had chances to double the lead before the break, and Charlie Stoker failed to hit the back of the net after beating the back four and Kieran Halliwell’s header was cleared off the Radcliffe line in the second half.
Radcliffe stepped up a gear and got the equaliser through Danny White in the 74th minute.
Colls were left to wonder what might have been ahead of tonight’s replay at Stainton Park (7.45pm kick off).
Atherton LR went down 3-1 in the North West Counties League Division One.
Ben Hardcastle equalised on eight minutes but they were rocked by two further second-half goals.
Meanwhile, Daisy Hill had a free weekend.
