CHEERS Bar and Dobbies did their Premier Division survival chances no harm with impressive performances in the only two games in the league to beat the weather.
Bottom club Cheers earned a confidence-boosting point against second-placed Salford Waggon.
They are now two and three points, respectively, behind Dobbies and Walkden immediately above them, and have a game in hand on both.
Dave Barratt and Darren Dickens were on target for Cheers, and Steve Hughes struck both goals for the visitors who missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Daten to one point.
Dobbies earned their first victory of the season with a 6-3 win against fourth-placed Queen Lizzie Vets.
The Bradley Fold men, who have only lost three of their eight league matches so far, started the day in bottom spot, but turned on the style in the second half after going in 3-3 at half time.
Chris Williams struck twice and Andy Sailsbury, Steven Farrell, Stuart Marsden and Jason Benson each scored one for Dobbies, while James Russell grabbed a hat-trick for Queen Lizzie.
