DIVISION One leaders Darcy Lever beat Moses Gate 6-5 in a thrilling encounter at Moss Park as the prolific Gaz Whiteside notched a hat-trick Mitch Leece hit two and Adam Allwell got one for the winners.
Second-placed Castle had an easier game at home to Morris Dancers, who they overcame 5-1. Kieron Seals hit a brace while Rob Walsh, Carl Allsop and Danny Bates were also on the scoresheet.
The shock result in the division was Brindley Arms’s 2-1 win at Newbury with goals from Darren Porter and Neil Holiday while Sam Bradley replied for the losers.
Great Lever defeated Farnworth United 5-2 with Stuart Schofield helping himself to a hat-trick and a goal each for Marcus Baines and Danny Kercal.
Brett Ralph and Mark Daniels scored for United.
There was only one game in the Premier Division – Cattlemarket Wanderers beating Deane 5-2 thanks to a brace from Martin Watson and one each for Shaun Rothwell, Lee Bowyer and Mick Bottomley. Craig Leader and Paul Fay were on target for Deane.
There was no let up for the Sporting Hogans with the Butchers Arms putting 19 past them and Danny Morris helping himself to six.
Premier Division leaders Farnworth Cricket Club beat FC Bolton – who were prevented from playing by the Lancashire FA – by default under rule 22a.
